About Us

Costa Rica holds 6% of the world's biodiversity with Corcovado National Park considered to be one of the world's most biodiverse regions.  It's wildlife includes scarlet macaws, tapirs, jaquars, and squirrel monkeys.  Manuel Antonio National Park is also home to the three-toed sloth and the white-face Capuchin monkey.  The Chirripo National Park and Monteverde National Park are established to preserve the rainforests of the region and fresh water that flows from their peaks.

Our soaps are named for these areas and we hope to promote biodiversity in Costa Rica through the sale of our products.

We invite you to try these soaps and look for them at an Airbnb, hotel, spa or retailer near you!   Join our newsletter below to learn more about our products, services and where to find them!

Th idea for  the MRJ  "Clean Heart" Soap Collection was inspired  by the surfers and  the yogis  in the northern Guanacaste Region of Costa Rica after traveling to the national parks throughout the country.

Our   MRJ "Clean Heart" Collection includes a variety of ingredients foumd in the valleys of San Isidro Perez Zeledon. near the cloud forests of the Chirripo National Park. We also sourced ingredients near the hot thermal springs of the Arenal Volcano and in the jungles of Corcovado.  The beaches of the Osa Peninsula, Tamarindo, Domiical and Manuel Antonio National Park also were a source of inspiration  for the "Clean Heart" Collection.

Alhtough I traveled to Costa Rica originally to write about yoga and teach as a Bikram yoga instructor, a skin condition I developed while there  led to my interest in developing a soap for surfers and yogis which others might appreciate.
